Yeah so I should probably write something other than posting the results of my websurfing…but what to write…there are things that would be useful for me to write down, but not necessarily useful for people I know to read…if they happened to stop by…

So i’m not going to write about those things…

Interesting things in my life right now (they’re interesting to me, that’s the only measure I can use!) :-

On Tuesday I lead housegroup for the first time. It was a little scary; the group was very small; it went ok.

At the church youthgroup I lead, I’ve slightly changed the system so for the “talk” bit, we split into two groups every week. I’d tried it on an occasional basis previously, but following a long conversation with a friend on holiday decided to make it permenant.
So now, I take one group of the people who are slightly further along, and the other group is lead by another member of the team on an ad hoc rotation. After two weeks of it, it seems to be working quite well.
My little group were quite excited last night, as we’re taking them to a youth conference this weekend, so that should be really good.

My aim for the group sub-group is getting them to take responsibility for their relationship with God, rather than relying on me or the group or whatever else. If a side-effect of this is they start coming to church, that would be brilliant!

So there’s a series of random thoughts…with not a link in site!

I might sort it out…or find another theme if I get around to it…what with now leading a church house group, leading the church youth group, playing in the worship band, keeping the church’s computers running oh and that pesky full time job thing I keep having to do!!

I like being busy!!

So in October, for the second time in a year, I found myself in charge of our church (don’t follow the link I threw up a page in 2 minutes as the address was used on promotional material and we needed to have *something* there) youth group.

I didn’t even go to the meeting which discussed the youth group and to start with… I was skeptical. But I’m loving leading it a lot! And a lot more than the last time I lead it (which may not be a surprise considering all factors…)

I feel like i’ve something to share with the young people who come along and I really want to see them “get it”.

Tonight (if I get home from work in time) I’m talking about Vision…or something along those lines!

*Edit – My grammar is shocking!
