Marriage

Hi,
I realise there are now no readers for this, as it’s an endless parade of my bookmarks, and yes, it may have come to your attention (Hi Neely!!) that there is a definite wedding theme to my bookmarks for the past few months.
I’m engaged, and getting married next August!! It’s quite exciting. Normal service will [...]

Eyetv and tvtv

So I got a Macbook Pro a while back, and recently I got a tax rebate and decided to splash out on a nice 24″ monitor, and tv-card for my laptop. After reading lots about the options, the clear cut option seemed to by the Elgato EyeTV, I went for the DTT version, it’s a [...]

So what’s new?

Well…after 9 months of training (Is that all???) I’m now a teacher…
I started my job today…Secondary (High school) ICT (IT/computing) in case you were wondering…
I can’t promise this will lead to an increase in posting rate…but I just thought i’d put it out there!!

Crediton Community Church

Forgot to mention I redesigned the website of my parents church.

Professionalism

Hehe…
observed an act of the highest professionalism today (sarcasm)
Was talking to teacher, and they started going on about an incident that happened last week. They were being fairly critical of another teacher, not noticing (until I pointed it out) that said person was about 3m away from them…
it was funny!
The staffroom is an interesting place…

Google eh?

Either there’s not many Keystage 2 resources for ICT, or something funny is going on at google…
i’m the 5th or 6th result (depending on whether you use google.com or google.co.uk) for ks2 modelling
I think I only linked to a couple of other sites!!
Odd!

Oh please…

Overheard conversation:
A: Have you heard of openoffice? It’s really good!
B: No! What’s that?
A: It’s made by Microsoft. It’s like a version of Excel, Word, etc. but free.
B: Really? Why do they do that then?
A: I don’t know. It’s really powerful though, much better than Office!
I had to try hard not to laugh out loud…

Lack of updatedness

I realise no-one reads this anyway, but just so you know, the reason it isn’t really updated is because I’ve started teacher training, to become a secondary ICT teacher (IT). I’m blogging elsewhere about that but it’s fairly anonymous (not that anonymous really but I’m not posting a direct link here!) If you wanna hear [...]
